MAY: Family or Maternity Session
Book a full family or maternity portrait session with Mary Catherine Photography this May!
This option is perfect if you want a relaxed, playful, lifestyle-focused session that celebrates peak garden season - whether that’s in your home, at my studio in Old Town, or outdoors surrounded by lush spring greenery and blooms. We’ll choose a setting that fits your family and your season of life.
MAY SESSION IDEAS:
- A dreamy outdoor session in one of our beautiful local gardens. Think: peonies, azaleas, dogwoods, and bright, fresh greenery at places like Bishop’s Garden, Meadowlark Gardens, Green Spring Gardens, or Brookside Gardens. May is truly the month for gardens around here.
- A playful at-home session with an activity you love - arts + crafts, fort-building, gardening, baking, “a morning in the life,” puzzles or board games, etc.
- A sweet session at my studio in Old Town! There are so many fun directions we can take it - colorful backdrops, clean white walls, flowers or simple props, and outfits that POP with color!
- OR!...lean into the season and do your session in your own backyard garden - planting something together, picking flowers, watering the plants, or just enjoying all the spring growth. These make for the sweetest, most meaningful moments and memories.
Truly, in the month of May, the world is our oyster, and I’m happy to dream up something personalized to your family!
Weekday full sessions are $1,250 and include:
- 60–90 minute session at a location of your choice
- 75+ high-resolution, hand-edited digital images
- All nuclear family members
- Client prep + style guide (including outfit help!)
- Print rights to all images
Additional fees may apply for the following:
- Travel more than 30 miles outside of the 22206 zip code (charged at the standard IRS mileage rate)
- Additional family members: $25 per person
Please note! Weekend sessions require a $250 additional fee.
If you prefer a weekend session, please book the weekend session option instead. If you do not see any available weekend sessions, that means they have sold out. In that case, please choose a weekday session or a different month.
30% deposit required to book (non-refundable, but transferable).
The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
Once you’ve checked out here and paid your deposit, I’ll be in touch to set your session date and send over your contract and short questionnaire. I can’t wait to photograph your family this May!
