MARCH: Family or Maternity Session
How to choose your session above:
You’ll see multiple March session options in the dropdown (Cherry Blossom, Pink Magnolia, Weekday, and Weekend). Each option represents a limited number of available spots. Just choose the one that best fits what you’re hoping for — you only need to book one session.
Book a full family or maternity portrait session with Mary Catherine Photography this March!
This option is perfect if you want a relaxed, playful, lifestyle-focused session that celebrates early spring - whether that’s in your home, at my studio in Old Town, or outdoors among the first blossoms of the season! We’ll choose a setting that fits your family and your season of life (...and yes, March can still be chilly, so cozy indoor options are always on the table!)
MARCH SESSION IDEAS:
- A dreamy outdoor session with the pink saucer magnolias at the Smithsonian Castle or the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin (iconic for a reason!!)
Please note: Magnolia and Tidal Basin blossom sessions take place on weekday mornings only. Sunset and weekend times are simply way too crowded to create the calm, playful experience I aim for.
- A playful at-home session with an activity you love: arts + crafts, fort-building, gardening, cookie-baking, “a morning in the life,” puzzles or board games, etc.
- A sweet session at my studio in Old Town! There are so many fun directions we can take it - colorful backdrops, clean white walls, flowers or simple props, and outfits that pop against those early-spring neutrals. Truly, the world is our oyster here, and I’m happy to dream up something personalized to your family.
Weekday full sessions are $1,250 and include:
- 60–90 minute session at a location of your choice
- 75+ high-resolution, hand-edited digital images
- All nuclear family members
- Client prep + style guide (including outfit help!)
- Print rights to all images
Additional fees may apply for the following:
- Travel more than 30 miles outside of the 22206 zip code (charged at the standard IRS mileage rate)
- Additional family members: $25 per person
Please note! Weekend sessions require a $250 additional fee.
If you prefer a weekend session, please book the weekend session option instead. If you do not see any available weekend sessions, that means they have sold out. In that case, please choose a weekday session or a different month.
30% deposit required to book. (non-refundable, but transferable)
The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
Once you’ve checked out here and paid your deposit, I’ll be in touch to set your session date and send over your contract and short questionnaire. I can’t wait to photograph your family this March!
